Im still confused by it. Probably because ABC decided to show on the last half of the last lap, the 8th and 9th place cars while Gordon made the move.
But to pull out from behind you teammate (on other laps, on this lap, now your nearest threat in the points) and then pull in front of a #20 who easily had several MPH built up in a charge, then take one heck of a slam from #20, the use both lines behind you, all to lead but one lap of the race?
I recorded it, I have watched it over and over again. Some of the best driving I've seen in years. I think Stewart tried to be like the ole #3 from back in the days those last laps, and #24 just waited patiently, and at the perfect moment, showed #20 how #3 really would have done it.
