O MY.....

By far the baddest bow I have ever had in my hands but why wouldn't it be for $1,600.00 lightest I ever held, amazing, I opened it at the loacl bow shop when it came in off UPS truck? I asked him if the friggin bow was even in here?

Awesome Draw Cycle etc etc etc just too rich for my blood!

Im not saying its not a good bow. For $800 it is, but for $1600 I should be able to tell the bow to kill a deer then watch it do it on its own.

I dont understand the light bow rage...

Most of us set our bow on a hanger on holder or rail of some sort.

We walk less than a mile to our stand and sit.

A heavier bow will move less and thus make you more accurate. I intentiionally add weight to my bow. So a light carbon bow is counter productive to what I am trying to do.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking. There's light and then there's too light and the CM sounds like it'd be too light. Your muscles need some weight to work against in order to keep the bow steady. Plus, my wife would kill me if I ever spend $1600 on a bow, LOL.
Really though, I'm sure there's bows on the market in the sub-$500 range(still a lot for a BOW IMHO.) that'd shoot just as well. Heck, my "Dream Bow" is a PSE Vendetta XL, that shows you where I'm at money wise, LOL.

I think people get caught up in the WOW factor of this bow cause it's so different. I have shot one a couple times at the shop(both cam options) and can't say I'm very impressed by either. It's a nice bow..but I don't think it's any better than their other offerings the last couple years.

I also think a lot of people like to simply impress their friends with the expensive bow they could afford to buy. Heck, it's that way with just about anything, Cars, TVs, guns, some people get into stuff that they really don't need to buy but because they've got the money they spend it so people will say "Wow, you spend $X on a bow/Car/Gun, that's cool." Personally, for me, it's how something works, not how much it costs. My ol' Team Fitz(aka Deer Hunter) will fling an arrow at about 240fps, plenty to take deer all day long out to 40 yrds and I got it from a guy for $43 bucks(the price of shipping so actually the bow was free), I'm as proud of that bow as any $1600 Carbon Matrix.

I think the point of the Matrix being made is being missed. Yeah it's pricey at $1600 but who's to say that in 10 years half the bow's out there have carbon fiber risers. Just look at the technology that has driven the cam's and limb's of bow's in the last 10 years. We'll be looking back and saying Hoyt was the first to do it.

Rob

Yep, this isn't the first carbon bow. Still, I think as more companies adopt this technology the price will come down. It's kind of like the Glock of bows, LOL.
