Anyone have one of these with 27-28" draw? Do you prefer the #2 or #3 cam?

Also, how is the string angle as compared to say a Katera XL, my current bow. I am a bit worried about being able to anchor and keep good form with such a short bow.

Not trying to be smart, just curios. What would the length of the bow have to do with your form. You would still anchor in the same place & still hold the bow in the same place. Seems to me everything would be the same.

TheAirMan is right on the money...Your form should never change just because its a shorter bow.

You know I am shooting a Vectrix Xl. I am 6'5 and at 30 inches I find I like a longer ata with a little longer Brace height.
The one thing you get with that combination is Forgiveness!

I shot the AR31 a couple years back and it did the job. If you are 28 inch draw or under I think a short ata is great. Over 28 and my opinion is 36 ata or better. Brace height is up to you.

The Maxxis is a very nice bow. I don't have one, but I've drawn one and liked it. I would like to shoot the 35", but the 31" is too short for my shooting style. My DL is a whopping 27.25" and I don't like less than a 33" ATA bow. Too short ATA and I can't get the anchor and string angle right.

i had one and it is a good bow.it was a little too short for me. the cams depend on draw...#2 cams are for 25 to 28in and under.#3cam for 28.5 to 30 in. that may not be exact but close. never shot the katera. maxxis and alphamax felt the same to me.
