Seeing as though my Mossy 935 weighs darn-near 12 lbs, I've decided to try the V-Pod shooting stick this year. Reason being is that I had to hold the heavy son-of-a-gun in the shooting position for darn near 30 minutes before I could get a good shot at my gobbler last year.

So far it seems OK. To be honest, it's kinda flimsy and the hinge is pretty weak. I put a washer under the bolt in order to prevent the stick from moving so easily. We'll see how it goes in the next few weeks.

Anybody else got any experiences with the V-Pod?

Re: HS Strut V-Pod Shooting Stick

Looking at this on my phone and can't tell but is it mounted to the barrel? I just use a monopod or bipod under my 835. The monopod is a little easier to maneuver but the bipod is easier in the way that it will stand up and not fall left or right. I use the bipod more.

It is mounted to the gun. I thought I'd like this option as it's one less thing to carry.

I have had mine for one season on an 870 and love it. It really does help you be more comfortable when you are working that stubborn bird.
