Has anyone ever tried one of these? It seems like a good idea. I have to hike about a mile with a treestand, backpack, and bow. This may make it a little more comfortable..

I like it. Other than the other point made above...you wouldn't be able to utilize the pockets if it were atached to the tree.

I agree . I have taken deer en route to a stand, and tend to hunt my way to my stand in the afternoon. Having the bow ready made the difference .

Well, I ordered one. It arrived yesterday. It seems to be everything described and more. I feel that it will be an extremely useful tool for me.
I have a very steep climb. With a treestand, backpack, and bow it gets pretty rough. This thing will help out alot.
I have never had a shot while going to, or leaving my hunting area. If I did get a chance I would have to lay down and catch my breath before I could pull the bow back.
I guess if I had an easier trip to my hunting area, I would be more concerned about a quick shot.
