Hunting alone sucks...

Until my son got old enough to hunt I always hunted alone and preffered it. Now I can't hunt alone because he has to go all the time, and now he is 18! I wouldn't have it any other way.

Just be thankful you have something to do with yourself while unemployed.

I would rather hunt alone, I am far deadlier on my own. Plus most folks I know are not in good enough shape to run mtns with me for very long.

I will take alone on a mountain side all season long.

I do have buddy I hunt with all the time, but he is meaner then me, and knows the drill.
Mountains don't bother me or my buddies for that matter...I would rather hunt with someone...I am still young but I have harvested a lot of animals in my short life and its all about sharing the hunt now days...Trying to film more and putting less fortunate ones on game...Oh well I will be out there again in the morning...

I agree, I hunt alone 95% of the time but would rather hunt with somebody and share the experience,it is hard to find anyone to go with these days though.

I thought everyone hunted alone. I wouldn't have it any other way. I don't have to jack with anyone else, nor they with me. lol If I am not in the mood and want to leave, I am not inconveniencing a partner, and if I want to hunt until my tonque is hanging out, and my partner does not, then neither of us are inconvenienced.
I do like to go with my grown son. However, since he is employed and I am retired, I get to go more than he. But we just share the hunt experiences in the evening. I hunt the west solo also, and as long as I have a phone, its no different than if we were local.

I hunt alone and with buddys but if i had to choose i would much rather hunt with one buddy every time. He is a VERY good turkey hunter and together we rarely leave the woods without a bird.

alone is fine and sometimes i actually prefer it, just gives me time in the woods to myself but to me hunting alone all the time starts to suck after a while.

When I was younger I always liked hunting alone or with my grandfather because shooting a deer or other animal I may be after meant quite a bit to me...it seemed that I couldn't abide by so much incompetence when hunting with someone else plus it took me out of my game...and I still feel that way at times. When my sons were born and got old enough I started taking them to the woods and it was a challenge getting them to be still or pay attention, etc, but it paid off big later....My youngest son and I now hunt together most of the time and this past season I helped my middle son and also my best friend bag their first bucks. I prefer hunting with my son, Shaun, than anyone and much prefer hunting with a "group in camp" but not necessarily right beside me in the woods. Right now I could use a good turkey hunting buddy because I find turkey hunting a little boring alone and my friends don't turkey hunt....

I used to really enjoy hunting alone, but after accomplishimg most of what I have set out to do in the hunting world, in TN anyway, I now love the company of a friend, or especially my Dad and my two boys!! I let one of these 3 do most of the shooting now and I couldnt be happier, never have been as a matter of fact!!!!!

I like the ride out to the woods with someone. Once I'm there I want to go it alone. I like the challenge and dont want anything messing with me. However, I have better luck on turkeys if I have someone else to set up with.
