Hunting the rainy weather today

Anyone out in the rain this morning? I have had good luck in the past hunting on rainy days like it is today in middle TN. This ground blind sure does come in handy on these kinds of days.

Heavy rain as I was driving in this morning, saw 3 slick heads laying down waiting it out in a field just off the road.

Hunting Fayette co Came out at noon when break in rain saw 2 does in pines driving out

In my younger days, you couldn't keep me out of the woods on a day like this, I have two deer in the freezer so I'm happy to lay back in the recliner drinking coffee, watching Catman do his thing on Youtube, and have a crockpot of deer chili cooking.

Deer everywhere on my drive home

sat in the blind from 2:00 -5:00 this afternoon in Fayette co..Rained almost constantly and the only 2 deer I saw were 2 does bedded in the pine thicket as I was driving in.

I was bored but dry as a bone. Sportsman's condo dis it's job.

For whatever reason, we've seen a ton of deer driving to & from stand this year. Way more than normal.

I ended up seeing close to 20 deer yesterday afternoon. All from about 4:00 till dark. One Really nice buck but was missing right side. One 4 point with a bad limp and the rest slick heads.
