Not trying to trump your tip as that is what my mother used for years and years but a cookie dough scoop works even better!! Same technique with the water but not as often, can scoop 4-5 puppies before rinsing in water.

Make sure it is a cookie dough scoop as it is the perfect size, an ice cream scoop is way to big.
