Our club's Classic is today & tomorrow on Weiss. Yesterday was the practice day. I caught a few yesterday, but not much.

Today we launched at safe light and weigh in wasn't until 4:00. At 2:30 I had two fish. I tossed them back, packed my bags, loaded the truck, and headed home. I believe I'm about done for the year. Im burnt out and tired of not catching any.

Going to take a long break while I wait on my new boat.

As for our tournament, the top couple guys did fairly well for that lake, but overall it was tough on the majority. A bass only has to be 12 inches to keep, and there were still only 8 guys with a limit. Aggravating.

The place I fish is full of baitfish of varying species and size. Of the few bass I was able to catch over several days ALL of them were busting at the seams with baitfish. It's hard to get them to bite when food is everywhere.

We actually had our Classic there last year also. It was even worse. I weighed in 10.2 the first day. The leader had 10.8.

The second day I had one 12" fish at 1:00 so I left and took a zero for Day 2. I still got 9th and won $200. It only took a 2 day total of 17.something to win.

I've only been catching fish in the last hr before dark in the breaks/jumps. If you get there too early, you can cast 10,000 times and not get a bite. Once the sun dips to the tree tops, you can catch em every cast until dark and then it's over for the day.

We fished out of Paris today and it was rough for us. We caught 8-10 around 13.5-14" but no keepers. Got tired of getting beat up by the wind and jammed out a little early.
