Buying?? Golden state came out of nowhere and won titles. They were winning before K.D. and the likes showed up. They just had to counter what other teams tried to do. Labron started the all star trend teams trying to win titles.

They personally drafted 3 of there starting 5....
Including a 2x MVP, scoring champ, and possibly the best shooter of all time In curry.
A defensive player of the year in Green, a all-star
And a guy who can drop 50 in a half, a multiple time all-star and a really really good defender. In Thompson.

And they won a chip before adding KD a single star. I mean they added cousin this year, but his not played and they won 2 chips without him.
So I guess you can say the bought last years chip just because they added a single star... if you want...all the others guys they drafted. They was s a Heck of a team just by grabbing guys in the draft....and a championship team with the guys they drafted before KD....

I get that but adding KD was almost unfair. LOL that locked up the next few titles IMO. Cousins was just icing on the cake when he returns. Plus they added Iguodala a few years ago as well and he was a "star" until he came to GS where he is a overlooked role player now.

Have been the top 4 players on the team though this run.
And golden state drafted 3 of them...not bad and already won a chip before adding KD or cousins and two before cousins.
If you look at the top teams in the NBA these days most there top players where not drafted by them. And where paid for
Look at LeBron when he went to Miami where they paid for... bosh,LeBron, Ray Allan and more to pair with wade.... you gotta atleast give GS credit for drafting 3 of there top 4.....Miami drafted 1 of there's
People give them credit for starting the "super teams" you see now days. Where stars get together and agree to go to the same place after the season, take pay cuts if needed.
Every team looking to do the same. Houston went out and got both CP3 and james harden to big time players. Boston with Hayward & Irvin.
It's like every descent team goes out and gets atleast 2 even 3 big time players...cause they know that is the only shot they have at a chip these days
