I can't wait til turkey season. I had a great season last year but started out with a flood opening weekend. I swear it rained so hard that weekend and we still made some kills.


Talking to a guy at work today from Texas and we were swapping hunting stories and stuff. He laughed and said I tell you about my deer and elk and you tell me about turkey. He said he never been turkey hunting so I said well you know how you descried the feeling you get when you hear an Elk bugling. I get that feeling and more when I am working an longbeard and he is coming to me gobbling. I been told I can work a bird.
I love turkeys.

I heard about 100 gobbles last week in the snow, sounded like 2 or 3 different birds. Not like a Spring gobble, more low key but still got me fired up for it! It is like 2 and a half months away though
