"Dear xxxxx xxxxxxxx,
As part of TWRA's continuing chronic wasting disease (CWD) surveillance efforts, we have been working with hunters, meat processors, and taxidermist to obtain samples from deer in Tennessee.
We sampled deer with the following confirmation numbers and CWD was not detected.

Thank you for supporting our CWD Surveillance Program. TWRA's efforts would not be successful without hunters like you."
I don't know if this was done based on me checking the box on the on-line deer check in form that I "planned" to take a sample to a specific drop off place or if they just did it on their own.
I did NOT take a sample anywhere because one was not provided to me, nor did I ask for one.
It is interesting that this is ONLY "surveillance efforts" and NOT any effort to actually change things so we're just spending tax money/hunting fee money to make big government bigger with no return on investment and to scare people out of hunting I guess.
How about someone test chlorine dioxide on some cwd deer in captivity and see if it heals them. In the meantime I'll treat any human provided watering here with it to help my animals be and stay healthy.
Now, let's discuss the cwd positive counties with just 1 case ever discovered...you can't take a head to a neighboring county with zero cases for mounting.

And, it seems strange that a dead deer head that is no longer in nature can spread cwd to other dead deer at the taxidermist.
