Hey guys. Im mainly on the deer hunting side. Killed one bird when I was 16, and it didnt do anything for me really. 11 years later gonna try it again. Gettin pretty fired up about to be honest. Who else got drawn in here and what has oak ridge produced for you in the past?
 
I would suggest using the scout day to cover as much ground as possible. The turkeys can be hard to find there. Last year there were only 53 killed from the 2 hunts combined. I hunted there last year and got on birds both days. Would be glad to point you towards that area just shoot me a PM if I can help.
 
ORWMA is loaded with Turkeys. You should have no problem in locating birds to hunt, just watch for other hunters as it can get crowded quick in a good area.
 
I am 100% on Turkeys on OR. :grin:

2006 - Opening morning 15 minutes
17 lbs. 9 1/2" beard 7/8" spurs

2009 - Opening morning 35 minutes
20 lbs. 10 1/2" paintbrush beard 1 1/4" spurs

We drew the second hunt this year.
