Ive been so frustrated with my bow i just gotta rant. I bought a martin firecat prox last year, put a set of cobra sights on it, it had a whiskerbisquet on it already. So i get it shooting great worh fp's but go to shoot my broadheads and there off BAD!! I cant adjust my sights any more im hitting low at 20 yards im scared to try any farther with it. Ive tried fixedblade muzzys and grim reapers to no avail. Im at my wits end i know next to nothing about bows and noone i know can seem to point me in the right direction. I guess im threw with messing with it if i cant get it fixed soon. Ok rant mode off. If anyone can give me some advice on what to do id appreciate it, ive gota spot loaded with deer and am only aloud to bow hunt it and hate to pass up the chance.

Take it to the shop and get it paper tuned plus have youre string looked at if its not new and make sure the screws in the limbers were adjusted right whe. The poundage was set having one screw backed out way furthere then the other will cuase the problem next check all screws in the rest and sights to make sufe there tight sound like you need to be paper turned

Take it to a archery shop and get it looked at push come to shove go to walmart and buy a barrnett crossbow if you have the money

Could be many things, best you just hang it up. The bow itself maybe so bad it will never shoot a straight arrow.

Ricky i know what you mean, i have not practiced like i should have. Im a gun hunter to my core, im trying to learn to bowhunt and domt lnow much about it and dont know anyone who dose. Im just tryin to learn and express my frustrations so far in hopes of getting some info to help me along.

You could have soooooo many things wrong: nock height, rest height, center-shot off, cam timing issues, tiller off, etc.... take the thing to someone that has a clue about what their doing with a bow and get it looked at! I'm glad you acknowledged Rick's point about waiting to the last minute. Archery is something that takes time, patience and a boat load of practice to obtain a level proficencythat is why many of us shoot year around and 3D tourneys as well.

all the advice about tuning is very good advice. that said I have like 5 or 6 different kinds of broadheads I shot before I had my bow tuned and everyone was low right but a rage it hit with the field points.
I know alot don't like rages but they did shoot out of a untuned bow with same POI

Now that season has begun, you should be able to get it to the shop during the week and have it back that day, no more than a couple days. Get it tuned and alot of your headaches will be over.

Tuning your bow is generally required to ensure that fixed blade broadheads will fly approximately the same as field points. The planing surfaces on a fixed blade will magnify any flaws in arrow flight that a field point will forgive.

You can also buy mechanical broadheads, which will pretty much fly like a field point right out of the box. It sounds like you've already dropped some heavy coin on broadheads at this point, though, so if you have the patience, and a good shop to go to, get that tuning done. It will benefit you all around.

If that's what matters to you then go with them. Your bow though isn't shooting as good as it could, slower, louder, harder on everything from the fighting within itself. It also isn't flying the same at different distances and probably drastically different from an elevated position. Things could be better and those other heads are proof of it.

yep

Man, I get on to my old man every yr. He doesnt even practice shooting his. Just grabs it and thinks its on from whenever he bought it. I trully believe its worth it to the animal to know what every piece of equipment will do.

Your bow needs to be paper tuned. I am sure your nock point will have to be moved also. If u lived around here I could tune ir for you. Its a quick fix if u can take it somewhere.
