at this rate I should lose about 15-20 lbs by the end of the season! :D

I've only been hunting 4 times now, but I'm pretty sure I've walked more miles in these 4 trips then I did all last season. Oh, and I'm having worse luck than I've had for the last 3 seasons.

Hmmmmm, covering more ground and seeing less birds. Something needs to change FAST! :D

Looks like cooler weather later in the week. I may have to strategically schedule my week so I can hit the good spots while everyone else is working. ;) Dang public land! :D

Oh, and I just realized that I didn't mention in my first post that I was set up where I've seen birds roost 1000x. Well, I never heard or seen anything the whole time I was there and the only way they could have gotten to where I walked in from was to walk through Broadview elementary schools play ground or fly across the lake.....well guess what? They must have flown across the lake to get over there because right at dark on my way out (walking down the exact same path I cam in on) I flushed two off roost. One was definitely a hen and the other I couldn't tell.

Just wanted to mention the salt that was thrown on my wound... :D

hang in there, did the same thing last year and at the end of the season it payed off with one of the oldest toms I've ever taken
