I`ve shot one pin forever and limited myself to 27 yards or so,,this new to me setup has three pins,,the bottom one is set at 35,,trouble is me geussing ranges,,thinking about going back to what I know..

5 shots with 35 yard pin at about 31 yards.

I've had a Nikon Buckmaster rangefinder for a few years with no problems. Good rangefinders.

Where were you aiming?

Not sure where you were standing when you were aiming at the target but it looks to me like the arrows are leaning to the right. Either way, all of the arrows should be grouped tighter and either above or below the bullseye depending on how you have your sight pin set. I would suggest a paper tune. No offense, just trying to help. I can get 4" groups or less consistently with my RazorTec at 30 yards.

Or were you aiming at each of the red bulleyes?? If that is the case then you are pretty close.

Looks good to me . I'm assuming that you are shooting at separate dots . ;)

same here. Looks like you did just fine.

I was shooting at the x in each of the 5 different spots,,I can`t afford to shoot twice at the same dot..I geussed 35 and shot all 5 arrows,,

I am used to lining up one pin that will hit the circle anywhere from here to about 24-25 yards and then holding up for shots to 30,,I am trying to get out to 35 but I don`t know,,how many of those 5 misguises would have killed a deer

Re: I need a rangefinder,,or remove the 35 yard pi

Every shot would have killed a deer, just keep practicing at different yardages. I have never needed a rangefinder and I shoot out to 70 yards. The reason I don't need one is because I have shot enough to estimate the yardage upon sight. You will be able to do the same thing if you consistently practice.

Re: I need a rangefinder,,or remove the 35 yard pi

I don't use a rangefinder either . I can estimate yardage within a yard or two out to 50 yards . Judging yardage is becoming a lost art as hunters rely on rangefinders too much .
I think practicing judging yardage is as important as shooting your bow .

Re: I need a rangefinder,,or remove the 35 yard pi

I can get within 25 yards at 500 easier than I could 2 at 50,,I`m gonna hunt with the three pins this year but I aint planning on shooting past 30 yards,,I can hold with the 25 yard pin and be in the zone at 30,,,

first pin good to 22,,second pin good from 23-30 on a vitals sized taret..

Re: I need a rangefinder,,or remove the 35 yard pi

I just put a single fixed pin Apex Gear sight on my new PSE . I got it dialed in at 30 yards , and hold a little lower at closer yardages and a little high at 35 yards . I try to keep my shots under 35 yards when hunting , so one pin is all I need .
