Muzzy or thunderhead should do the trick on a properly placed shot

To answer your first question....yes. To answer the second, either of the two broadheads listed above would be fine as well. You may also want to look into the Magnus Buzzcutsa popular choice amoung many low-poundage shooters and traditional archers. Either way, you'll be fine just make sure it is a cut-on-contact blade and stay away from the mechanicals.

Totally agree magnus stingers are a great choice.

Yep I agree with the others. 40 will zip one through a deer. That's all my wife shoots and she zipped a 85 grain Slick Trick through one like hot butter a few yrs ago. My first deer I ever killed was in 1992 with a HCA Silent Hunter bow...40 pound draw weight and no more than 24-25 inches draw length. I killed 3 deer with that bow before I outgrew it and passed through every one.

It's awesome with today's technologies that 10 year olds are able to pull back 40 lbs. My first bow was MUCH harder to pull back even on the same weight. As for a head the Stingers are great but also check out the G5 Montec in 85 gr. That's what I recommend to all lower poundage shooters.
