See if you can hunt it while they are at work/school etc.

I used to get so hyped up before the season, but now try to hold it under control until closer to the season. Coaching youth bball helps take my mind off it.

Now, when it warms up, and I actually get out and hear that first gobble of the year, then it will be all I think about.

I would give up my entire deer season for one good turkey hunt. As for public land, hunt mid day till dark . If you strike a bird you will have a chance to kill it. Not near as many hunters after 10 am.
