If only my bow was not on the ground!

Always make for a funny story , I know a guy that drove all the way to deer camp before hey realized he left his gun at home, my father inlaw crossed a fence dove home got out and couldn't find his gun ,it was leaning up on a Fence post next to the hwy ( lol ) luckily no one saw it till he returned .

happened to me a couple of times. One time this doe watched me pull my bow back up and untie the rope. I nocked the arrow and looked down to attach my release and looked up and she was walking away.

Opening day 2012 I was hunting a piece of land I had just got permission to hunt two days before. I was set up on the ground with a crossbow, around 7:20 I looked down and there were 8-10 wasps crawling up my jacket. I decided to regroup at the truck and while I was leaving some scent on the ground 2 does walked right through the field in front of me. I probably wouldn't have got a shot off even if I had my crossbow in hand but the deer would likely have walked right by me had I stayed on the stand and not spooked them.

I did the same thing about 10 years ago, got to the gate where I park my truck put my tree stand on my back then guess what no bow. Ha Ha had to go back and get it good thing it was only 20 min away.
