I'm not the poaching type, but I'll be hunting 4/04 through the end or until I'm out of tags.

There's a limit to how much I'm willing to give up and turkeys aren't on the list

My exact thoughts

My gang and i were discussing this today and we are all by the books hunters. However to a person everyone said screw that if it hapoens, we are going anyway. Law be damned haha

Its getting crazy out there and lot of shaming going on for people leaving their houses... I'm definitely hunting but I am going to start flying under the radar..

Praise Jesus I can just step off the porch, walk off down through the fog across the field, and disappear into the timber.

I get behind my locked gate & they'll have to find me. Good luck to all Saturday!!!

Passed 4 cops this morning including one at the gas station where I stopped. They all either waved or nodded. I'm in a t shirt and camo overalls and muddy boots. It ain't like I was hiding it. Some people are just freaking out about stuff to freak out around where I am...

Ill go regardless. If for some reason I get stopped and get a fine or took to jail, then so be it, it's worth it.

The order DOES NOT limit, prohibit, or interfere with anyone's ability to go turkey hunting. No reason to hide what your doing, no reason to avoid cops, and no reason to panic. Just go hunting like normal. Avoid crowds if you encounter one traveling, check in your turkeys, and have fun.

This is the original order. The "new" order from yesterday only changed paragraph 1, changing it from:

". . . all persons in Tennessee are urged to stay at home, except for when engaging in Essential Activity or Essential Services as defined in this Order."

To:

". . . all persons in Tennessee are required to stay at home, except for when engaging in Essential Activity or Essential Services as defined in this Order."

"Essential activity" in the order includes:

d. Engaging in outdoor activity, provided that persons [follow] the Health Guidelines to the greatest extent practicable, including, but not limited to, driving or riding in a vehicle, walking, hiking, running, biking, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, golf, tennis, or other sports or recreational activities that can be performed while maintaining the aforementioned precautions or utilizing public parks and outdoor recreation areas; provided, however, that congregating or playing on playgrounds presents a unique risk for the spread of COVID-19 and is therefore not covered as an Essential Activity;
