I'm not sure that I totally agree....

He's not saying anything that has not been said before and he's not saying things that aren't going to be said before the season during the season or possibly after the season is over .

Many SEC fans outside the proud wearing orange color glasses feel exactly the same way about the program .

It all remains to be seen once the players hit the 50 .

He just hates Tennessee, there is no reason whatsoever Vols cannot be back to elite, all of the parts are there, since we got a real coach. Although at one time I thought butch was one too.

Almost any power 5 school can be elite if they really want to be.
It takes a combination of money, talent, right coaches and some where in all of that there has to be somebody with the job of bending the rules. It goes on everywhere. Some schools have found a way to keep it hidden better than others.

They talked about this on 104.5 the zone in Nashville. The main thing this guy hangs his hat on in his article is that Pruitt talked about GPAs instead of winning or fixing this or that. He actually talked about many things, including fixing this and that. He has talked about the weaknesses of the program since he got there (guys too small, not tough enough, etc.)

I think Pruitt knows what the Vols weaknesses are. The question is can he fix them, which brings up another question, will he be given enough time to fix them?

Coordinators become HCs all the time. So the fact TN hired a Coordinator is irrelevant. Also Pruitt's salary is not too over the top for SEC HCs from what I have read. So basically all sub par points on the authors part, IMO.

Will TN ever be elite again? I don't know, but I do know that they have the facilities, money, etc. to get there. It will really depend on who is running the show. Is Pruitt the guy? Only time will tell.
