Increase

Yes, plus there's some changes in the licenses. Biggest one is you will now buy a license for the big game species you want to hunt, not the weapon you want to hunt with.

When I looked into it, for myself, with only having to buy the deer license, it puts my costs the same and that would allow me to hunt with bow, muzzleloader, and rifle. Currently I only hunt with a combination of two of those to cut down on the license costs.

"The new approved rules increase boating registration fees by 22 percent and most of the hunting and fishing license prices by 28 percent. Sportsman and Lifetime license fees are increased by 12 percent. Following public comment on the proposed Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) fees for North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area, the Commission voted to set a three-year gradual permit increase with options for daily, three-day, seven-day, and annual permits. Price changes will take effect July 1, 2025."

Permanent Senior Citizen Hunt/Fish/Trap
Available at all license agents and can only be purchased when the 65th birthday is reached. A valid Tennessee driver's license or proof of age and residency is required. No supplemental licenses are required, but WMA permits will need to be purchased in addition to this license. Fees apply when applying for quota hunt permits and "leftover" permits.
