Anyone hunting Chuck Swan next week. Or maybe a little advice would be great. Also any recommendations on where to stay over there (motel or campground ) ?
I'll be there tent camping but I have never even been there so I'm not much help. Last forecast I saw was pretty cold.MickThompson":11hdn2us said:There is tent camping at the entrance of the wma. Not sure what else is available up there, it's been 8+ years since I've been to Sharp's Chapel. I hunted it a couple times but not recently.

Not sure which model you have, but make sure everything is "vented" properly so you live to see another day. You may also want to pick up a digital carbon monoxide (CO) detector for safe measure.Midnight rider":2dj43frz said:I am bringing a buddy heater and 20lb tank so cold shouldn't be a problem.
After 1:00 you can go back in and roam all you want until dark. No hunting. I'll be there all three days. Usually camp, but staying in a hotel this year with a buddy. I'll be with the guy in the track chairPickettSFHunter":f9k24p4u said:The way I'm interpreting this, you can't even enter the area after 1PM right? That sure kills my normal tactics of roaming in the evenings and trying to figure out where to be the next morning if that's the case. That and the cold are making me think I should be in Bama.

Thought you were a veteran My buddy is in a wheelchair and hunts with a track chair. He'll be in a blue chevy with a rack on back. I'll be in a forest green dodge with the bad paint job. And no, I'm not "The Man"PickettSFHunter":2h26wrhm said:cowhunter71":2h26wrhm said:After 1:00 you can go back in and roam all you want until dark. No hunting. I'll be there all three days. Good deal. That's helpful. I had to look up what a track chair was.
