Was working in the yard potting up some peppers when I heard one of my turkeys make a sound I've never heard in the woods before, nor from these captive wilds I've had for 3 years. I headed to the pen, and my tom was topping one of the subordinate hens for the first breeding encounter I've seen this year. The hen was definetly squealing under the tom for about 45 seconds till he finished. I didn't get pics of them, but the boss hen was completely pissed (but she's always in a pissy mood). She was full strutting she was so upset. I may give that a try this season for kicks and giggles and see what happens.

I raised some turkeys and had them for 5 years. I herd the hens make the squeal several times during breeding. This call is very effective at the right time.

I bought one of those dang things for some reason about 5 years ago or so.. Well me and my buddy had been hunting and were walking out about 330 along an old rock wall and spot a couple hens and 2 jakes about 80 yds away.. I started mimicking mama hen gettin her pissed of trying to get them to come our way and they weren't budging.. I had just gotten that squeal call and thought what the heck and blew it.. I'll be danged if a tom didn't fly down out of a tree that was in between us and the turkeys.. He hit the ground running right at us at 30 yds and didn't stop running till my buddy shot him about 15 yds out.. I don't even think I've used it since or know if I still have it but by god that's definitely a turkey hunt I'll never forget

Although ive never heard it,I do believe that they do it, but I wouldn't rely on the call itself.

Gobblers hold on to the base of the wings when breeding a hen, and lot of times thier back toe nails cut into the hens thighs when they grab on.
I'd figure that'd make em scream or it maybe something else....haha
