Talked to a guy I know earlier today.
He was telling me about the bird he killed yesterday.

Then he says, "How do you check them in on the internet?" "The one I killed Saturday I used my phone but I didn't have service so I was gonna just use the internet today."

Welllll you just go to the twra website and go from there, it's pretty easy.
But.... I think you had to check it in by midnight last night.

"No, you got 24 hours."

Uhhh, you used to have like 36 hours but they changed it and now you have to check all big game animals in by the end of the calendar day ie: midnight the day of the kill.

"No, you got 24 hours."

Oh ok, good luck and congrats.

sigh.... sometimes I swear I feel twra's pain on communication acceptance of hunters.

NEW TWRA Harvest
Reporting Procedure FAQs

5. When do I report a harvest?
Big game animals must be checked in by the end of the calendar day.

at least he had intentions of checking in the bird...I would venture to say A LOT of turkeys are killed every year that aren't checked.

JRA, that is kinda how I was thinking.
Right or wrong, he was going to check it in so in my opinion it was just an honest mistake so no big deal.

Crazy that he won't listen though.
