I havent heard a bird since last friday and everybody I talk to has the same story i was just wondering if any of you guys are doing any good.
 
I don't think they've started yet....So far they will gobble on roost, and mute once they hit the ground. I'm anticipating this weekend.
 
have heard birds everyday this week so far, also have seen a TON of hens in places i normally dont see them so nesting in Trousdale/wilson/sumner co is definitely starting.
 
Still alot of gobblin here,especially from the roost,heard one just a few minutes ago from the front porch,gobblin away.
 
Go to LBL!!! I hunted LBL the last two mornings and they gobbled on and off the roast.I heard gobbles till around 9:00am today. I just couldn't close the deal on any. They were really hammering it from 6:00am to 7:00am both days.
 
Getting good here now.
Bad part is I will be unable to hunt this weekend and probably next weekend too. :(

Had a heck of a year though.
 
Its tough around here but its been that way all season. I think that the longbeard numbers are way down so the few that are left have plenty of hens and no need to gobble. I watched one stand in the same place saturday for over an hour in strut and he never moved or gobbled. Who knows how long he would have stood there if i didnt sneak up on him and shoot him. LOL
 
they gobbled this mornin till a lil after 7 o'clock. i think this coming week will be prime time in my part of the country. them hens are finally starting to go to nest.

Turkeys have been gobblin good on the mountain the past 3 days. Most noise I've heard so far. Blew my chance yesterday mornin. Old gobbler made me look stupid.
