Nice pics. I've had a few gobblers do to me exactly what that gobbler in the last pic is doing. At least that was my excuse for why I missed. :grin:
 
that hen in the last pic is absolutely gorgeous i would love to have a body mount like that!!!
 
Hey String...is that something that you planted they are feeding on or just an open grassy area?

Very nice photos and looks like you have a healthy bunch of birds to work with.

Yes, we planted groundhog radishes and winter rye (cereal rye) in this field. We also planted red clover which should be coming up soon.

We usually have a couple silver-phase hens every year. I don't know why we can't every get a silver-phase gobbler!

Nah. Just b/c the gobblers are strutting doesn't mean the hens are ready to breed. I think the warmer weather has the gobblers fired up earlier than usual, but the lengthening of daylight is what triggers the breeding phase.
