I'm seeing prediction after prediction Nationally picking the Vols, and the Bama fans are squirming.

It's even happening on here where they are grasping at history to somehow lessen their nervousness and anxiety and the thoughts of "WHAT IF?".

They've even slowed on posting some of their drivel that they know would get their faces smeared in after the game with a Vol victory. They KNOW that TENNESSEE is very capable of winning this game.

What's the saying, "nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs"

They are definitely nervous. The Gumps on here would never admit it, but they are. I talked to a co-worker buddy of mine yesterday. He's a huge alabama fan (his son played baseball there.) I asked him what he thought was going to happen Saturday and he said "we are going to get our asses beat!" He says even if Young plays he'll be ineffective, and Milroe isn't good enough to beat Tennessee. I'm not so sure. Milroe runs like a deer. I think Satan will have a game plan heavy on the run and heavy on QB runs. The only thing that might stop him is getting his #2 QB hurt. Or maybe he will play Young even if he can't throw deep down the field. You better believe he has a trick up his sleeve.

Glad to see our Vols back in the spotlight after only 2 yrs from 30 some players transferring and Heupel as our coach, he should be coach of the year regardless, also even if we lose we control our destiny, can win out and be in championship game, hope we play loose if we do I say we win by 14, if not we can lose GBO

I think it is going to be a good game. I'm pulling for the Tide. I'm not nervous about it at all...win or lose, I don't get anything out of it. I do think this is the best team in a long time that the Vols have had and it's fun to see the fans have signs of life again and not just rolling over to take a beating. I hope at the end of it, that there's no big hoopla controversy for either side...good ref calling,.etc. Vols fans have came a long way...the start of the season, it was unanimous that Tennessee would have at least a 2 loss season...Georgia and Bama were automatic losses on the schedule. Some of the more optimistic ones were saying at best, a 9-3 season before they started the season. Heck, most Vol fans I work with, were expecting a loss at LSU and got shocked. Now they are cautiously optimistic about Saturday. I've not had anybody come right out and say "They are gonna stomp Bama this weekend". Instead it's more of erring on the side of caution with "IF they somehow pull it off, we're gonna give you hell". Lol.

^^^ That's it right there! Born and raised a Vol fan but I don't play for them ,practice with them, nor do I have bragging rights for anything they do. I think the vols have come a long way and hope they win but I don't think they will . Hopefully good news is they are closing the gap. It hasn't been much of a rivalry for over a decade. Two great friends are big bammers, if the Vols happen to pull it off, I won't say a word .

I still say Vols by 10. To Crow's point above, I would NOT have said that at the beginning of the year. Regardless of the outcome it's really nice to feel like you have a real shot to win any game you play. Been a long time since I had that sort of optimism. So many times I'd be talking to a buddy about meeting up during the 3rd quarter because they were gonna blow it.

It's fun to read all the predictions from the "pros" but at the end of the day none of that matters. Vols are playing better than they have in 20 years and as a Vol lifer that's good to see. Don't think their world beaters but like where they're heading. They absolutely have a chance to beat bama but also have the chance to have the crap stomped out of them too. That's why you line up on Saturday. GBO! 🍊

That's me. VERY cautiously optimistic. However, one of my closest friends is a diehard alabama fan. He already knows IF somehow Tennessee pulls it off he will hear about it for weeks from me. I've got 15 years to make up for! 😂

Well said man

That one doesn't really bother me. He's fun to mess with. I had to green stripe the other one. He is just a troll. If UT pulls it off they already have their excuse ready: Young was hurt.
I for one look forward to hearing that excuse, any excuse. Regardless of the outcome of this week's game, I'm looking forward to watching it. I am looking forward to watching UT play the #3 team in the nation. Let that sink in... When was the last time we could say we looked forward to a game like that? I know I've dreaded it many times in the last several years. Maybe I'll break out my old school '98 orange and white windbreaker for the game! :D

Its hate week. Let the games begin. Ive been rolling with the Tide since the 70's. Hating on the vols is something that is in our blood since childhood. Nothing new. Saban will have a solid game plan rolling into knoxville regardless who is at QB position you can bet on that. I wager he has a plan on defense to get at glory boy QB and find a way to put pressure on him and cause all sorts of turn overs and win the game right there. Lets see what happens Saturday. Roll Tide.
