It never fails. This afternoon set up in a good spot in the edge of the woods that rolls off into a big bottom and they still came in from behind me . I set for over a hour waiting and listening to them cut and purr but never seen the first feather. Am i setting up wrong ? They come from behind me every single time and that's as far as they get. How the heck do these birds know to come in from behind.

You facing into woods or field, facing uphill or downhill? Where do the birds usually come from, are you trying to catch them coming to roost, or calling them in?

I've tried everything you mentioned but they always come in from behind me .I've tried calling and roosting them they usually come up from the bottom to roost . They just always show up behind me.

I very rarely ever have a bird come straight in. Most of the time the kinda do a half moon and come from the side. Sometimes they come in from the back. Its almost like a deer trying to come in down wind.

Next time, sit down, call, then get up and go the back of the tree.. haha... im just kiddin, but you never know...
