I remember seeing a old news paper with the story in it talking about how they all crammed in a old 4x4 jeep and drove as far back as they could up the mountain. Shot with iron sights, he didn't believe he did anything special at the time. According to the story he thought he had seen bigger bucks then this one back there.

Unbelievable, I heard that deer was killed in catoosa, am I wrong. I know catoosa is in part of roane from what I've heard.
It was killed on Catoosa. There was a big non typical and another big typical killed the same week. I never saw the other typical but was told it was nearly as big and the rack was cut up for knife handles.
