the samick journey is in my hands.i don't know where to begin.once i pulled it from the box i was shocked . the reviews i read said they was ugly but i don't think its too bad. once i figured out the bow stringer and got the string on it i was shocked again. 40 lbs is harder to pull back than i thought "lol". of course the more i pull it back the easier it seems. the best i can tell ny draw length is roughly 28 to 28 1/2 .i figure once i settle into the bow . it will be about 29 inches.i am going to hold off a week or so before i do anything else to it. and just practice drawing it back to anchor . i also need to learn the right stance , i see some ppl shooting them more like a compound stance others that sort of turn into the target and and lean forward. yall shot me some advice here. cause i am really as lost as a ball in high grass. i think i have watched to many youtube vids lol

I dont know much about correct shooting form, have thought about trying to learn just to see if thers an improvement in my groups but it slips my mind once I start shooting.

I just stand with my feet at shoulder width, with the bow at arms length & canted (tilted slightly to one side),draw back to my anchor point & release.

Actually (sort of) dont aim at all, just pick a tiny spot, the smaller the better, think a solitary hair on the side of a deer, kind of like throwing a rock when you were a kid.

Then again I'm not exactly Robin Hood either so...

You'll find a form that fits you once you get to shooting regular but dont hesitate to try different forms, maybe if I did my groups would be much better.

Same as what foxfire said. Main thing is same anchor and release and the rest will usually fall into place. And one more thing, with it being new keep and eye on string stretch the first couple of times out shooting. I usually will leave mine strung for a couple of days when i put a new string on just to go ahead and get it over with.
