Jennings is reportedly undergoing surgery on his dislocated wrist on Tuesday afternoon and will miss up to 12 weeks, according to Volquest.com.

That's now 3 starters out for the year :bash:
 
That sucks.... Didn't see any of the game until the second half. When did he get hurt?
 
I know injuries are part of the game, but no one has worse luck than UT when it comes to injuries to key players over the past few years.

He might as well redshirt and not worry about playing any more this year.

At least we found out Callaway can play. He might want to cut his hair though :D !

If I'm not mistaken it was the very first pass he caught early in the game.

Na actually it was the last pass he caught. :rotf:

It was on a crossing route. He was lined up on the left side. The one where he got sandwiched between two defenders and the second one that hit him layed a pretty good lick on him right to the facemask. I didnt really see anything that looked like would have caused an injury on the replay. Must have been when he came down.

Watching a little bit of the replay on espn today he did catch a pass or two before going out, Also had two drops to bad for him he was probably one of the most talked about Vols this offseason, and boom done just like that.

According to Calloway he heard the news while out on the field "we was told Jenning may not be back, his wrist was kinda messed up" talk about a guy stepping up after some crushing news!
 
As competetive as JJ is, im going to say we see him back on the field this season in some role with a club on his hand. Probably on ST, laying fools out. He would rather hit somebody than catch a pass I think.

He's a big dude with a mean stiff arm.
Or was that Malone. Idk, one of them guys made the vandy secondary look like weenies trying to tackle him last season.
Sux for Jennings and UT. Wasn't he recruited to play a different position)
He didnt have huge numbers stat wise but he made some YUUUGE plays last year!
Calloway seems to fill his shoes nicely but Jennings will be missed no doubt. They have some good receivers.
 
Had to be JJ. Dont think I ever saw Malone be real physical much less use a stiff arm. He was signed as a QB. He realized it wasnt going to stick so he told Butch to use him wherever he was needed. He has made some big hits on ST. He played both ways in HS and played Safety on defense and Ive heard it stated that was his natural position and was NFL talent at that position. He is just an all around good athlete that wants to play no matter what.
 
Put a cast on it and move him back to db

Your right it was. I went back and watched.
Jennings looked like a giant compared to them lil dudes. Lol
