I rarely shoot my compound anymore. I've battled shoulder issues for years. I've dropped poundage, exercised with weight training, and I've lost a bit of confidence in myself. I debated on another compound with a 50lb setup, but opted out with the $1,000 price tag. Hope this fits the bill.
I had to start using a crossbows 10 yrs. ago, they are great, but I felt like I was cheating the first 2 seasons. instead of a scope, consider a red dot.
I bought one this season also. You will definitely need to replace the scope. Had trouble with the bolts out past 25 yds also. Got some Carbon Express bolts and double lunged a nice doe at 37 yds first time out. Always shot a vertical bow as well. Nerve/disc damage just simply won't allow it anymore. I think you will really enjoy the Fang!
Just look it up on ebay, at 350 fps and all the goodies it come with. I say it will be a killing machine. It did say use 100 grains, but I would also try 120 and see if that make it better or worse. Just remember to keep your kill shot under 40 yards, anything after that is gambling. Have fun with your new hunting tool.
