Jonny football

Re: Jonny football

His done, His agent just dropped him, and the browns are cutting him in March.

The only person crazy enough to sign him as a free agent would be Jerry Jones & the Dallas Cowboys. I'm sure that would work out perfect, Manziel in a city like Dallas.

It would be closer to Las Vegas for if he went to Dallas.

Re: Jonny football

It is apparent that he is addicted to something (alcohol maybe?) and it is ruining his life!

Yes he is. I hope for him and his family's sake that he can get his crap together. Wether or not he has a future in football is of little importance at this point.

Re: Jonny football

He's a cocaine addict, Id be surprised if he plays another down in the NFL

Just read an article in the paper that quotes his dad. Apparently they tried to get him in a psychiatric and drug facility but he was allowed to leave. Dad is concerned be won't reach his 24th bday without help. Hope he finds it.

I hate to say this, but his daddy is a big part of the problem. My wife's a Texas girl from oil country and she grew up around Johnny Manzeil types her whole life. His family has oil money and he grew up never hearing the word "no." Kind of like that "affluenza" kid. Add to that he was a high school football star in a state that absolutely worships high school football ("Friday Night Lights" was no exaggeration). Put it together and you've got another spoiled rich kid who up through college was able to get by on daddy's money and his own raw talent. That doesn't work in the NFL. Unfortunately I think he's too far gone to save. Ten years from now there will probably be an ESPN special on "The Tragedy of Johnny Football."

Re: Jonny football

The story should be how stupid the Browns were to draft him.
Everybody in the known world saw it coming.

Blame lies on himself. He made the choices, choices have consequences.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm guessing he'll walk away with enough money he should never have to worry about anything, but he'll probably run through that in no time.
