I thought the kee kee was mostly a fall call but yesterday morning we had two hens fly to us off the roost, one flew into a tree beside us and started kee keeing with a couple yelps at the end. The gobbler finally strutted across the field to us and his two hens but they skirted us about 70 yards out. After they went across the hill we jumped up and ran a to get ahead of them and my buddy knocked him down but he got up and flew off. That one hen would answer me every time with kee kees and yelps. Anyone ever heard that

I use a kee-kee at least every other hunt, especially around the boss hens that love to lead the gobbler away from your regular calling. It DOES work... sometimes :) Also have had several hung up gobblers decide to commit using the kee-kee (and jake yelps... those work even better)

I heard it for about five minutes yesterday morning. really the most I have ever heard it.
