I patterned my new Kicks Gobblin Thunder Choke tube in my Citori last weekend with some 3 1/2 turkey shells and can honestly say two things...wow it kicks and has a very very good pattern

Do you think a 3.5 inch is really necessary?
Usually when I'm focused on shooting a gobbler or a deer, I don't even notice the kick. But, I shot a 3.5 inch several years ago and still have a sore shoulder.

i quit using 3.5 2 years ago, just was not worth the $ and the sore mouth/shoulder. To be honest if you do a pellet count between 3's and 3.5 you will see that not a ton is gained minus a sore arm and a hurt wallet. 3.5 obviously have some more pellets in it so they can be better but in some shells those extra pellets also slow down the load.

everyone has there reasons for shooting 3 or 3 1/2 I guess. 3 1/2 shoots good out of my 835 so I just stuck with them. cost wise it dont bother me to much. I dont pull the trigger unless its at a turkey so I dont go threw a lot of shells, also if you wait till after turkey season to buy them you can find them a lot cheaper then before or during the season

I bought one just yesterday in .655 for my Benelli Super Black Eagle, cant wait to try it. My son is shooting a Benelli Super 90 with a Kicks GT.660 and it performs awesome!
