Sat down to use my Cabelas gift cards, and it appears they no longer make the Tat'r Kickstand vest. Bummer.. I was looking forward to getting one. Anyone have recommendations for a quality vest with a built-in seat frame?

I would wait a bit before I gave up on it. I seems they take some of their vests off the site. Seems like they did the same thing last year when I was looking at one. Then it was back closer to season.

Thanks Airman.. Hard when these cards are burning in my pocket. But you're right, b/c the only vest they have on their site is a clearance item

They are very popular I would doubt they quit selling them. Seems they took all of them off for a bit so I would just wait for closer to spring

my issue with the bucklick ones is they don't really have a frame, its just how the seat is attached to the top is what makes it work which is fine but if you get to off centered it will allow you to roll back or sideways real easy. That and the seat is just not very comfortable to me unless they have changed it recently. it works for what it is but just not one of my favs personally.

I've got the tat'r kickstand hanging in my closet that I bought last year after the season. I've tried it in my living room, and don't really know if I like or can get use to it. Might be up for sale soon if It don't work out for me.

I'm not much of a turkey hunter, but although it's 6.5 lbs or so more to carry, along with your gun and calls, it seems to me that an actual turkey chair might make it easier to wait out a bird, especially once they're pressured and don't respond so quickly to calls. Any of ya'll tried one? The Browning one seems to be one of the better ones.

I've got the cabelas turkey lounger which looks basically the same. I use it more these days for deer hunting off the ground since I bought the vest with kickstand.

I bought the tatr kickstand and I love it

For what it's worth, if you can wait until after season I bought mine for like $70 in sale.

I wanted just the tater 2 but they were out of my size so I got the kickstand

I ordered the kickstand this week. It's on backorder but should ship in 1-2 weeks. I would have liked to have got it on sale but I had a couple gift cards and it only cost me about 25 bucks out of pocket.
