Can't buy a gobble! Have heard one (long way away) and that's it! Took my wife twice and nothing. I have usually killed one by now. This is driving me nuts! :bash:

If you aren't hearing gobbles before flydown you might want to look for some more spots. The early gobbling has been good in the various places I've been this past week.

A few people haven't been hearing em good on the roost either. I have heard decent gobbling, sometimes a crazy lot of it, first thing in the morning. But most days have been dead silent. Hope to find me a bird to work this morning. Good luck

Hang in there,you still have plenty of time to kill 4 birds.I remember one year when I had not killed one with only a week left in the season,I killed 4 birds that last week!!

I think I heard one gobble a ways off at 8am 10 mins ago. Just want one to fire up, haven't heard one free gobbling in a long time it seems like. I know there are 2 somewhere in this area so I may stick it out for a while or come back here in the evening.

Had one I think the bird I originally set up on gobbled a few times at some geese between 8 and 9am. Of course now that I'm back on the ridge there hasn't been anything in over an hour. I know where I heard 2 birds this morning so I know where to be this evening if I can't find one

It's that way here to.
I'm assuming the hens are leaving them up in the day because that's the only time I can get a response from them.
I've jumped 2 different hens out of brush piles this weekend . Maybe they're starting to set.

It's rough right now. Good roost gobbling and that's it. They are too busy strutting to gobble.

I actually decided to take the family on vacation this week and give it a rest. I'm saving my last two tags for lonely gobblers.
