Okay,
I have my father check my cameras while Im at school. I have been avidly watching deer since the May. I have lots of pictures of bear, turkey, deer: 4,6, and a crazy looking deer I called Max. Well Max was murdered (poached) two weeks ago So, since then, I have not seen the 4 or the 6, but I have got a new decent 8 and then Sunday night (full moon) @ 9:47, I got a picture of a Awesome 10 pt. Main beams that come all the way out to his nose. Well, I have racked my mind and went up and down trying to figure out what to do. At first I was thinking YES, then I realized full moon and the time. But then I talked myself into remembering that deer change their patterns and maybe this is the 8 and 10s new pattern. Okay what is your all opinion on this so far? Okay, with all this said!
Is there anyway to keep him coming into the area? Is there any way LEGAL that you can possibly attract him to use this travel corridor more often? Or do you all think this is just a case of Roaming deer on a full moon? I really dont want to start roaming around In the woods too much, dont want to stir things up. Should I possibly start looking for a new place to catch him? Most of you guys have been hunting longer than my 13 or so years, and I admitt I am learning new stuff everyday. So shoot me some advice or teach me something here.

Keep the area fresh , don't over hunt it . He will go where the does are during the rut.

If in my opinion..you have no certain pattern on this deer..think this...deer need what to survive? food and security...that it!! period...ahhhh..untill the "rut" comes..the most simple thing I have found when I can't figure out a pattern on any certain buck...hunt for the doe's...they will be where food and security are..and thats where mr. buck will not be far behind.I realize that its not always that simple..but sometimes us humans tend to wanna over think the situation.

Oh BTW...no matter how long we have hunted? We all learn new stuff every time we hit the woods...I always do...but am I smart enough to even realize or know that I'm learning something new? Sometimes us "Older hunters" get caught up in NOT learning new things..good luck to you on your challenge..keep at it!!

well guys, I didnt use nothing but a good ole hot doe! No better lure attractant than that. I started getting pictures of him twice a night at my tree stand with a doe. Well they were bedding up about 300 yrds away. Snuck in yesterday evening and right at dark the magic happened. 41 yards away, dont know if it hit a small limb or just jerked but hit him right in the back ham...embarrasing, but he didnt go far, probably 15 yards, montec went straight through. He is a 10 pt, probably about 135-140 inch, and weight 200+. I will try post pictures on here, but I have the worlds hardest time posting pictures on this website. Thanks for all the help guys! and good luck

Just hunt the does . He will show up sooner or later . I often see bucks that I get trail cam pics of a 1/2 mile or so away near doe bedding areas when the does start coming into heat.

If I can figure out the picture posting thing, I will let you all see. radar is right, i just hunted that one doe..and it payed off. I hunted right outside of her bedding area...risky but paid off. If someone has an email address and knows how to post pictures on here, I will send you the picture and you can post it.
