I live 4 or 5 miles from it so I went with my 5-year old son who loves racing. He had a baseball tournament starting Saturday and we didn't find out until Saturday morning what time his game was so I didn't buy tickets. That was a good thing because I actually won 2 tickets in a golf tournament on Wednesday prior to the race and they were in a suite. His game was at 4:30 so we left the park at 6:15 and the race was late starting. It started as we were about to walk in. Trust me when I say watching a race from a suite is not the same. 30 laps into it my son says "dad I want to go down there and watch it" while pointing to the stands. I was actually glad so after eating all the free food we could we went down to the front rows around lap 100. With 20 to go he was tired and ready to leave so we did. The good part is we missed the traffic. Another time I waited until the end and it took me 50 minutes to get out. They block the McCrary Road which is right in front of the track so you can only go one way to get to 840. Otherwise, I could be home in 5 minutes. Even so, I still enjoy going there.
