Ladder stand help/suggestions

I have several of the Big Game 1.5 HD ladder stands. Decided to take one of the cheaper models and dissassemble it, and use the ladder sections to add to each of the 1.5 stands to give it 3 or so feet of extra height.
Now my ladder stand support won't reach the tree. I could try moving it up, but then it gets outside of my reach.

Anyone got any suggestions for extending the ladder stand support?

A piece of rigid conduit slid over the section attached to the stand. Drill a hole or more in the conduit where it needs to be

Looked at conduit at Lowes yesterday and this looks like the most cost effective way to go. Thanks for the tip.

Move it up to where it works and then rig something on the lower section that has the wider span. Not sure conduit would work by itself. Need something rigid.
