Ok guys need help the wife has to go to Nashville next Thursday and Friday for a work meetings and they want the employee to bring there spouse because Friday night they are talking everyone to top golf. So I'm not thrilled but trying to make the best out of it. So I was thinking while she is at work all day Friday are they any public land around Nashville to hunt ? Can anyone give me some spots to look at not looking for your best spot I would rather be out in woods than setting in a motel all day while she is at work. Here is a picture of the area we will be in

Cheatham's archery hunt is over and you won't be able to hunt small game due to there being a muzzleloader hunt starting the next day. Percy Preist (Unit 2) would be another option its open to archery deer and small game.

Can you bring a Boat or that floats ?? Priest you may have trouble finding a place to yourself or over hunted already.

I would look at the hunting guide as it shows location and gives details for each public WMA. That way there is no confusion on when it's open or what's allowed. Good luck!

I will do that when I get home from work but I'm not from middle tn so I thought it would be good to get first hand experience from guys that is over there and no what places ti stay away from and places to look at and what's open and what's closed.

There have been several posts in the last few months from people Moving into the Nashville area's. The population has really exploded in that area over the last few years.. You need to understand there is probably no Public that does not see a lot of pressure. If you take a camera and go enjoy Nature on a early morning hike Lake Radnor and Percy Warner Parks are Great Natural area's that you're very likely to see some amazing Deer.

I don't care if I even shoot one I want shoot nothing if it's not a monster. My wife would kill me f I have a deer in the back of her suburban so if she is going to be mad i want it to be a good one and it stay there all day Friday and Friday night because I will not be headed home till Saturday morning. Chances are I want be back over there hunting public land unless I am invited to tag alone with a member on here
