We got to slip out today after getting done with all the Mothers Day activities. We drove around the backside of the farm and seen a strutter on top of the hill with a few hens. We drove back to the front and drove as far as we could without spooking them. We where to full from the cookout so we didn't want to walk lot. We set up about 80 yards from them and we could hear him drumming. I made one series of calls and started hearing the drumming get closer. The hens came on in to us but the gobbler hung back for about 10 minutes. He was on the other side of a group of trees about 45 yards out. The hens went on around us and started yelping. He gobbled and came on in. He got to about 25 yards and the 20 gauge 870 hammered him. This is his second long beard this year.10 inch beard 1 inch hooks and 24 pounds
