Still a little of the snow left here.

Maybe the right deer will show. Or would happily kill some yotes.

Anyone else out this afternoon?

For those sticking with it here's some encouragement from a lesson hard learned. About 13 years ago I still had an open tag the last weekend. I had been hunting hard this 8pt stud and playing cat and mouse in my food plot. Last weekend roles around and I'm mentally and physically exhausted. The very last day I had planned to stick it out all day. The weather turned and the wind was ridiculous. Told my wife I'd be wasting my time, so I stayed home and called it a season. Checked my camera the next week and I just about cried. That dude walked within 30 yards of my stand right at sunset! I remember the camera was set up pointing towards my stand and there he was with my stand in the background…EMPTY!! Wind was howling, but it didn't bother him at all. Epic mistake! Stick it out to the last minute guys. At least you'll have peace of mind, and hopefully a lot more than that…good luck!

Closed out with two does and a fawn going across about 5 minutes before legal shooting light ended.

Not 30 seconds after climbing down coyotes fired up probably less than 75 yards from me.

I sat the evening out in the redneck blind. Never saw a single deer, but it was peaceful and cold. Got 3 weeks left for ducks, including a 4 day draw at 106 Camden Bottoms. Hope this one is better than the last, but I'll have fun no matter.

Had a good hunt but back home empty handed. Saw several does but all out of handgun range. Been a good year, hate it's over.
