This is about the 5th nice buck we've seen on camera behind our barn. I'm thinking about putting a ground blind behind the barn. Would that be too close?

What are you feeding them to get them to come to that salt block this time of year? Usually deer don't come to salt like that this time of year.

You know, I thought about doing that but second guessed myself. I think that's what I'm gonna do vs messing with a ground blind.

My nephew put the salt lick out there and I agree with you, but believe it or not, I actually have a few pics from this same time frame showing a doe and a small buck hitting the salt lick and some other type of "lick" my nephew put right beside the salt lick.

I'd cut a window upstairs in the barn and plant me a lazyboy behind it with a little space heater...lol...but that's just me...good luck

Killed several from hay barns right in hardeman co. Good county to reach out and touch them if you can hold her steady. 300 yardklls were the norm on place I hunted.

My deer are still hitting the salt hard! Go figure. But this is the first year that i have kept up with the minerals. usually stop freshening up my salt licks around sept. not any more

Do yuou have any pics in daylight? I wouldn't sit there if they're only hitting it at night. There must be higher percentage spots inside the woods nearby.
