LBL Quota

My buddy from work is there today and tomorrow.

I haven't received anything from him since he left Piney this morning though. I am sure he doesn't have signal where he is hunting.
 
I took this Tom this morning in area 12, quota hunt LBL. He was all by himself and gobbled several times on roost. I setup and called 3 or 4 times. He flew down and quickly moved from about 100 yards, spitting/gobbling and drumming the whole way, to about 20 yards in front of me. Took a nice clean head shot at around 15 yards. It was over in less than 15 minutes but it was an awesome hunt.
23 lbs., 10" beard and 3/4" spurs

Congrats ! Id settled for a 15 minute hunt !
 
Thanks all! Yes, area 12 has a few birds. During LBL deer season I had seen a couple Toms working the same ridge almost every time up there. That is where I went and he was there. I didn't see or hear any other birds but then again I was only in the woods maybe an hour and went home. Good luck to all hunters this weekend!!!
 
Anyone go today? Just wondering if anyone else done any good or heard Birds today.
