Just an FYI the LBL quota application period was extended through March 7th. The email I received:

Hello Forest Users,
We at land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area have made the decision to extend the application period for the 2021 Turkey Quota Hunt by one additional week till March 7, 2021. This effort is to provide our users the chance to take advantage of our early season turkey hunting opportunities once again, as we are returning the event that is so deeply engrained in the culture and fabric of Land Between the Lakes. So please help us spread the word that the Land Between the Lakes Turkey Quota is back!!!!!

I have hunted LBL for deer 3 times. I have never seen a hog, nor hog sign. I had also never seen or heard a turkey until last trip when we went into town after setting up camp, and we passed a few Jakes on the side of the main road. I'm sure they're in there somewhere, but I am not driving 2.5 hours to camp and hunt turkey for 2 days. I live in Mid TN. I can hunt here with more success and sleep in my own bed. 😂

The only thing I have ever seen while hunting there is deer, squirrels and birds (robins, etc.).
