Just curious if anyone has been hunting LBL since it opened to the general public this week?
Did not hear much of a report from the last quota either, any reports?

That's why you are supposed to use a full strut decoy and a gobbler call correct?
Works for me everytime!

When I left last Sunday afternoon there had only been 7 turkeys checked in all weekend. I would love to be hunting there tomorrow morning.

It was quiet at daylight. Got one to gobble around 10:00, but couldnt close the deal. Pretty slow.

It was very slow never heard a bird or heard a shot today.

I am camped at Piney, did not hunt (fished instead) but have talked to a couple different guys camping who did not hear anything either.

LBL turkeys have gotten a lot of hunting pressure over the years making them more difficult to hunt. The coyote numbers are high in LBL also which can make turkeys more cautious.
