Learned the hard way

A friend wanted to shoot my bow. Now my bow is in the shop waiting for a new string. Cams and limbs look to be ok. Still not really sure what happened. The shop said this is all too common. They call it a "buddy fire". Never again.
 
I would assume he drew the bow while applying to much lateral torque . And baaaaaam next thing you know , derailment . Happens all the time !! Especially this time of year .

When we found the arrow it was in two pieces. It just kind of lobbed out of the bow when he hit the trigger. Shop thinks he may not have had the arrow fully nocked. Other people I spoke to suggested the same cause that you did.
