You can get a lot of interesting pics on a camera set up over an antler trap!

Might sound dumb but what is an antler trap? Never heard of it

A device designed to knock loose antlers off at a particular location, usually near or at a feeding site.

Nice pic.. has the antler trap worked for you yet?

Nothing yet, but they've only been out for a week. Still a little early, I think.

We picked up 10 sheds this past Sat including 2 matched sets. Also got quite a few pics of bald headed bucks.

I have picked up a couple fresh sheds and a few old ones this year but no matching sets or decent sized ones yet.

Watch out, BSK isn't going to like your antler trap. I think it looks OK as long as it doesn't really tangle up the rack when they're eating. I put corn under a log that's about 6" above the ground in my backyard. Will see if anything drops there...

Thats OK. I have found that no matter how fancy one may be, no matter how big, how little, how tall, what color, etc., you simply cant make everyone happy.
If anyone thinks that a buck could get entangled in that relatively small pile of brush, then they have underestimated the sheer strength of a deer and their will to survive. Now, what I DO disagree with are those who stake down a circular 3 or 4 foot tall fence. That is where the real frowns come from!

what about a 2 foot tall 2x4 mesh inch fence 2 ft high 90 degrees staked in with feed in corner. ya know like the corner of a square.
